— HTTP – standard web browser such as FireFox, Chrome, Edge, etc.
— TelNet – text-based Ethernet protocol supported by most operating systems
— DHCP – acquire a compatible IP address from your network’s router
— ICMP – “Ping” to get information about the network interface
— TFTP – standard protocol to send new firmware to the device
— NTP – network time protocol to set the clock in the unit
— NetBIOS – an older but still useful addressing protocol
— USB – appears as a standard serial port when plugged into a PC
